The Coast Guard Auxiliary e-News is designed to keep you informed of
information, issues and programs that affect the Coast Guard
Auxiliary. It includes links to official Coast Guard Auxiliary and
Coast Guard sites that represent official Coast Guard Auxiliary and
Coast Guard programs, positions or policies and is sent only to
Coast Guard Auxiliary member’s email addresses entered in AUXDATA.

The New Member Course is now
available online through Auxiliary eLearning, the Coast Guard Auxiliary
online learning system. Prospective members can review the contents of
the course and take the final exam online. A printout of the
notification that they passed with 80 percent or better will suffice in
lieu of the hard copy answer sheet currently required with the new
member application. To access the course, go to:

call for articles for the Winter edition of Navigator.
Please ensure your submissions are in accordance with the Navigator
Guidelines (i.e. in Word format, no more than 1,200 words per story,
photos in high resolution JPG format, etc.) . Please know that this magazine always welcomes and appreciates submissions. We continually seek and need fresh, exciting, educational, inspirational articles of national significance or national interest that have relevance to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. great service to the active duty force including many duties related to
marine safety.
ALCOAST 5058 clarifies roles Auxiliarists can fill as marine
inspectors and the eligibility of Auxiliary members to earn the CG-MSSEP
qualification. back to TOP REMINDER: Coast Guard Exchange System (CGES) Scholarship Program The Coast Guard Exchange System
(CGES) has established
a
scholarship program for students who are dependents of active
duty, reserve, and military retired members, current civilian NAF and
APF employees, and Coast Guard Auxiliarists embarking on undergraduate
college/university studies. back to TOP REMINDER: AUXSAR Will Phase Out 1DEC 08 On December 1, 2008, the "old" AUXSAR exam will no longer be available. Members successfully passing the "old" AUXSAR exam on or before November 30th will receive credit for the course as a part of their six-course AUXOP program.
